Accounts are held by organisations rather than individuals, and they are opened by application so that qualification is settled before the first order rather than during it.
Sign-in is not available yet
There is no account login on this site today, and no password is collected anywhere in it. Accounts are opened and managed by the accounts team, and order requests are worked by a person. Building a login screen that could not authenticate anything would be a prop, not a feature — so it is not here.

Do I need an account to browse?
No. The full catalog, the document library, the lot lookup, and the research library are open, and a cart can be built without one. An account matters at the point an order request is reviewed — which is where qualification is checked.
